The birds pictured above are one of my pullets and cockerels that I kept from my Sep 14, 2013 hatch. I only had 3 hens to work with last year and now I will have 8 of them. These two and their siblings are 24 weeks and 3 days on the picture. They are surely nice. They have not been outside yet and won't be until our weather warms up. I am very well pleased with these birds. Really nice size and color. They have nice length to their backs and very level topline. These pullets will be bred back to the dads this year. I am sure hoping to get some super combs on the next generation. These came to me by way of Jim Heinz. I bought eggs from him Oct 2011, hatched them and bred them last year and hatched these from those eggs.
3/10/2014 Gee, these birds will be 6 months old Friday 3/14 and I got my first egg from them today. I just told a friend of mine today that if they were like their parents, they would start laying in the next week or so and here it came today.
I really do like the type on these RC Underwood birds. They are also so calm and the boys are as friendly as can be.

4/27/2014 RC chick hatched 4/1 - 2/2014 This chick has very dark horn on beak and a really nice Rose Comb for it's age.
5/9/2014 Put 10 eggs in lock down last night. These chicks are due to hatch 5/10 and I have 3 pips right now, 2 RC and 1 SC. Hoping these all hatch.
5/10 3:30 PM 9 of the 10 are hatched. Will leave them alone till later tonight or tomorrow morning. Not bad, I guess this would be 90% hatch rate. Tickled with this.
Here they are waiting till morning to be put in a box with their gro gel to be sent to Texas. lol Sure hate to ship these little things on such a long journey. ha,ha
Well, these little guys left for their journey to Texas yesterday and I got email today saying that they arrived safe and sound and all were fine. All I can say is Thank You Jesus for keeping Your hands of mercy on these little critters.
